Like the city of Atlanta, which we now view as an absolute paradise, choosing to ignore the many negatives (for whatever reason). And, conversely, our view of Southern California as a terrible shithole, rejecting the fun we had there and all positives (for whatever reason). I believe we, as humans, do this all the time.
